So, the other day, I saw this YSL JUNE BOX BAG online, and I thought, “I gotta have it!” But then I remembered, I’m not made of money. But you know what? I’m pretty crafty. So I decided, why not try to make one myself? It’s like a challenge, right?
First things first, I needed to figure out what this bag was all about. I spent hours staring at pictures online, trying to get a good look at every angle. I zoomed in on the stitching, the hardware, everything. It’s a pretty simple boxy design, which is good, but it’s the details that make it special.
Next, I had to gather my materials. I rummaged through my fabric stash and found some black leather that I thought would be perfect. Then I went on a little shopping trip to find the right kind of buckle and chain. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you! I went to a bunch of stores, and finally found something that looked close enough.
Then came the hard part – actually putting the thing together. I started by cutting out the leather pieces. I used a template that I drew based on the pictures I studied. Then, I had to sew it all together. It’s really difficult to put each piece together. I messed up a few times and had to start over, but eventually, I got the hang of it.
Here are some of the steps I took:
- Cut the leather: This was the most tedious part. I had to make sure all the pieces were the right size and shape.
- Sew the sides: I used my trusty sewing machine for this. It took some practice to get the seams straight.
- Attach the hardware: This was probably the trickiest part. I had to punch holes in the leather and then carefully attach the buckle and chain.
- Add the lining: I wanted the inside to look nice too, so I added a soft fabric lining.
It took a lot of time and effort, but finally, my YSL JUNE BOX BAG was finished! It’s not perfect, of course. There are a few imperfections here and there, but I’m pretty proud of it. It’s my own little creation, and it’s special to me.
And you know what? I can use it to put some stuff in my garden, it’s just the right size! Maybe later I’ll try to remake another bag, but for now, I’m happy with my YSL JUNE BOX. It’s a good reminder that I can do anything I set my mind to, even if it’s just making a fancy purse.
What I have learned
It turned out to be a great learning experience. I learned a lot about sewing and working with leather, and I discovered that I’m actually pretty good at it! Plus, I saved a ton of money by making it myself. Win-win!
