Okay, so, I tried to make a perfect copy of that Fendi White Zucca Mini Mon Tresor Bag. Let me tell you, it was a journey!
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to find a good picture of the bag. I looked all over the internet, and finally found a super clear image of what this bag looks like. Then I started to look around for similar bags, trying to figure out how they’re made.
Figuring Out the Materials
This bag, it’s made of this special kind of fabric with the Fendi logo all over it. I needed to get some white canvas material to make the main part of the bag, and I think I spent a whole afternoon just trying to get the right shade of white, seriously! Then, there’s the leather parts – the handle, the drawstring, those little details. I got some white leather scraps from an old project I had. Figuring out what tools I needed was another thing. I used my sewing machine, some leather needles, and a bunch of other stuff I had lying around my crafting corner. I also had to get some special glue for the leather, a good one, ’cause I didn’t want it falling apart.
Putting It Together
I started by cutting out the fabric and the leather. I used a fabric pen to mark the pattern on the canvas and on the leather pieces. Then the actual sewing began. I was so focused, I barely took a break. I sewed the canvas parts together to make the body of the bag. I reinforced the seams. Then, the leather parts. That was way harder. The handle, the drawstring, attaching them to the canvas… it took some time and a lot of patience.
The Logo
So, the real tricky part was the Fendi logo. I was trying to figure out how to get that double F pattern. And I realized I needed some stencils. Then I used the stencils to carefully paint the logo onto the canvas, making sure the spacing was correct, because that’s what makes it look like the real deal.
Finishing Touches
Once everything was sewn and the logo was on, I added the lining inside. Made a little pocket in there, too, ’cause why not? Then, I attached the hardware, like the little metal pieces for the drawstring. Oh, and I added a little Fendi charm I found, just to make it look even more authentic.
The Final Result
Honestly, it turned out pretty good! It took me a couple of days of work, but I’m really happy with how it looks. It’s not perfect, but it’s a pretty darn good copy of that Fendi bag. I learned a lot during this project, especially about working with leather and getting those little details right. I even took some pictures of the finished bag. They came out pretty nice if I do say so myself! Now I’m thinking, what should I try to make next?
