You know what? I saw this watch, this Patek Philippe, they call it. Fancy name, huh? Remake Patek Philippe PP Calatrava 5227G-010, that’s what the young’uns call it. It’s like that old one, but newer, I guess. They make it special for them fancy stores, you know the ones with the shiny floors and folks in suits.
That Calatrava Thing
This Calatrava, it’s been around. Not this new one, but the name. Like, way back. They got all these different ones. Some folks, they go crazy for the old ones, the “vintage” ones. Pay good money, too. More than I’d spend on a whole field of crops, I tell ya!
They first made it, this Calatrava, back in, like, 1932. That’s what they say. That’s a long time ago. That’s before my time, even. They called that old one Reference 96. This new one, it’s all numbers and letters. 5227G-010. Hard to keep track, all these numbers.
- 39 mm, that’s how big it is. Big enough to see, I reckon.
- 9.24 mm, that’s how thick. Not too thick.
- This other one, 7200R-001. Sounds like a tractor part.
This Newfangled 5227G-010
This new one, this 5227G-010, they say it’s somethin’ else. Masterclass in watchmaking, that’s what they called it. I don’t know about all that, but it sure looks shiny. Keeps time good, I guess. That’s what a watch is for, ain’t it? To tell the time. You don’t need all them fancy words.
It’s simple, this watch. Not all cluttered up. Just tells the time. Clean and simple. That’s how I like it. No need for all them extra doohickeys. And some store sell it very high price. I can’t believe it!
Buying That Watch
If you want one of these Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227G-010, you gotta go to them special stores. They call ’em “authorized retailers”. I guess that means they’re allowed to sell ’em. You can’t just get ’em anywhere. And they give you a paper with it, two years it says. If something goes wrong with it in 2 year, you go back to them, that is what they say.
That’s a Lotta Money
Lots of these watches out there. But this Patek Philippe, they’re special. That’s why they cost so much, I reckon. It’s like them prize-winning pigs at the fair. They’re just better, I guess. That’s what they tell me, anyway. I don’t know if I believe it, but that’s what they say.
This Remake Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227G-010. It is expensive. If you have money, you can buy it. But if you don’t have money like me. You don’t need it. A cheap watch also can tell time. That’s what I use. And It works fine. I don’t need a fancy one.
Fancy Stores and Fancy Watches
These specialty stores, they’re all over the place, I guess. In them big cities, mostly. Where all them rich folks live. They got all kinds of fancy stuff in there. Not just watches. Jewelry and whatnot. Stuff most folks don’t need. But if you got the money, I guess you can buy it.
They have many different kind of watches. Some for men, some for women. I don’t know what’s the difference. But they make it different. This Calatrava, they make one for women, too. They call it Ultra-Thin Automatic Ladies’ watch. But it also expensive.
It’s Just a Watch
At the end of the day, it’s just a watch. Tells the time. That’s all. This Patek Philippe PP Calatrava 5227G-010, it’s just a fancy watch. For fancy folks. But it still just tells the time. Don’t let ’em fool ya. You don’t need all that fancy stuff to know what time it is.
This remake one, it is just like the old one, just new. They make it better, maybe. Stronger. But I don’t know. Old one is good. New one is good, too. It is up to you. If you like it, you buy it. If you don’t like it, you don’t buy it. Simple.
I don’t know much about these things, but that’s what I hear. That Patek Philippe, it’s a good watch. This Calatrava, it’s a good watch, too. If you want a good watch, you can get one of these. But you better have a lot of money in your pocket! That is all I want to say.
