Hey guys, so today I wanna talk about this little project I did – trying to remake that super fancy Yves Saint Laurent YSL COLLEGE BAG. You know, the one that’s all the rage but costs a fortune? Yeah, that one.
First off, I got my hands on some really good materials. I mean, you can’t make a quality bag without quality stuff, right? Then, I started looking at pictures of the original bag. I zoomed in, checked out every little detail, the stitching, the hardware, everything. It was like becoming a detective, but for fashion.
Next, I began cutting and sewing. This part took forever. I’m not a pro or anything, so I had to be super careful. I messed up a few times, ngl, but that’s part of the learning curve. After hours of work, I finally got the basic shape of the bag down. It was looking pretty good, if I do say so myself.
- Cut the leather pieces. This was tricky because I wanted it to be just like the original.
- Sew the pieces together. I used my old sewing machine, it took some time.
- Attach the hardware. The label, the chain, the clasp, I tried to make them look like the original.
The label, oh boy, the label. It should have a style number and art number on it. I tried to make it look as authentic as possible. After all, it’s the little things that count. I also focused on the overall look and feel of the bag. I wanted it to be something you could wear anywhere, to church, to the market, you name it.
Finally finished it!
Finally, after what felt like ages, I finished it! And let me tell you, it looked amazing. I was so proud of myself. I even took it out for a spin, and people asked me where I got it. They couldn’t believe I made it myself.
So, yeah, that’s my story of remaking the YSL COLLEGE BAG. It was a lot of work, but totally worth it. I now have a bag that looks just like the real deal, but without the crazy price tag. Plus, I got the satisfaction of making it myself. How cool is that?
Anyway, that’s all for now. Hope you enjoyed my little adventure. Catch you guys later!
