So, I’ve been eyeing those fancy Rolex watches for a while now. Not the real ones, mind you, those are way out of my league. I’m talking about the high imitation ones. I mean, they look just like the real deal, right? Specifically, I’ve got my sights set on the No-Date Black Submariner. It’s a classic, no-frills kind of watch. And, no date to worry about setting.
First, I started digging around online. Lots of places sell these imitation watches, but you gotta be careful. Some are clearly fake, but others, they’re pretty darn convincing. Then I started considering whether I needed the date on the watch. I mean, I always have my phone on me. Finally, I decided I’d go for the No-Date version. Simpler, you know?
I found this one online store. It had tons of pictures, all the specs listed out, even the product code. For this one, it’s 001.58174.116. The model is “Submariner no date” and the reference number is 124060. Looked legit enough to me. Although I’m not sure how long I’d have to wait. Probably not two years like you do for the real ones.
I read some reviews. Some folks were saying these imitation Rolexes are so good, it’s hard to tell them apart from the real ones. Apparently, there are ways to spot a fake, but I’m no expert. I just liked the way it looked. I guess that’s why people buy them.
Anyway, I took the plunge and ordered one. Didn’t break the bank, which is good. When it arrived, I opened the box, and man, it looked good. Felt good on my wrist, too. Heavy, solid. Just like the real ones, I bet. I did figure out that to wind it, you gotta unscrew the crown thingy.
Here’s what I’ve been doing with it:
- Wearing it out and about.
- Showing it off to my friends. (They think it’s real!)
- Checking the time, obviously.
- Admiring it. It really is a good-looking watch.
I know some people are all about authenticity. “Gotta have the real thing,” they say. But honestly, I’m happy with my high imitation No-Date Black Submariner. It does the job, looks the part, and didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. Maybe one day I’ll get a real Rolex, but for now, this one’s a keeper.
