The whole point of this watch is that it’s super thin and has a perpetual calendar, which is just a fancy way of saying it keeps track of the date, even leap years, without needing to be adjusted all the time. Inside, it’s got this thing called the Calibre 868. I’m not a watch expert, but it sounds important, and everybody makes a big fuss about it.

Digging Deeper

I spent hours just trying to understand how this thing works. It’s got a moon phase display, which is pretty cool. It shows you what the moon looks like in the sky. This one has a red gold case and a black alligator leather strap. Pretty standard, but it looks sharp.

Then, I got into the nitty-gritty. The watch is 39mm across, 9.4mm thick, and 45.7mm from one end of the strap to the other. That’s about as technical as I get, but I figured it was important. The case is all polished and shiny, which I liked. It’s just elegant. That one-push thing is a life-saver.

I even tried to find something similar but cheaper. Let’s be real, this watch is expensive. But I couldn’t find anything that really matched up.

Finally, after all that, I realized this watch is way out of my league, both in terms of price and just how complicated it is. But it was fun learning about it. It’s a beautiful piece of engineering, even if I don’t fully get all the details.
